Playground Slide

Playground slides are found in parks, schools, playgrounds and backyards. The slide may be flat, or half cylindrical or tubular to prevent falls. Slides are usually constructed of plastic or metal and they have a smooth surface that is either straight or wavy.Slides are a playground staple that kids flock to. While kids see them as fun, slides also help integrate multiple developmental skills and senses. Before a child reaches the slide, there are stairs to climb, building coordination, balance and strength in arms and legs.

The term is descriptive in that this shoe is easy to 'slide' on and off the foot when the wearer wants to do so. Slides do not have a “Y” shaped strap, like the flip-flop
